Akhil is dedicated to building an ecosystem that supports the creation of innovative, meaningful and thought provoking content. He’s been producing advertising content across different medium that include film, stills, new media and mixed media. His clients include large international brands including Puma, Van Heusen, Adidas, The Quarry, Highlander, Wikipedia, GQ India, Flipkart and more.
An engineer by education, he started his cinematic career in Mumbai as a lead actor in the film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil(2014). He won the best actor award for his role in short film Phirse(2016) and the best television commercial model at SIFA 2011. He found himself enjoying the process of creative production on film sets and before he knew it, he had segued beyond acting and into the space of entrepreneurship and production.
Akhil considers The Artist Collective home, a space that’s helps him learn everyday and be a better version of himself. His work at TAC extends to building a collaborative work environment in office and managing operations. Atul is also credited as being one of the people who changed the face of Indian cinema for his work in discovering, training and promoting actors like Raj Kumar Rao, Radhika Apte, Vikrant Massey. As a workshop director, he was one of the first to bring the practice of cast workshops to Hindi films and contributed to several pathbreaking performances like Ranveer Singh in Gully boy and Lootera, Anushka Sharma in NH10, Emraan Hashmi in Shanghai, Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan in Patakha besides training lead casts for films like Titli, LSD, Lipstick Under My Burkha and Death In A Gunj.
As a director, Atul wrote and directed the short film Awake which was screened at the New York International Film Festival recently. He was also associate director on Ragini MMS, Titli (Cannes, 2014) and Lootera. He is currently working on the Netflix Original Series ‘Mai’ for which he is the lead writer, show runner and director.
Reshmy has been associated with the field of communication and design for over 20 years with a design career spanning Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. She has helped global brands like Glaxo Smith Klein, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints, Thomas Cook, Nokia etc to create and implement digital strategies that are human-centric and user friendly while also meeting brand goals. With a specialisation in user centred research and design, she has also been a speaker and teacher on customer centricity and innovation at NID as well as various corporate campuses around the world.
In her other avatar as a baker and food writer Reshmy wrote for several leading publications and conducted classes, catered to exclusive events, conducted workshops and managed her own blog.
At the Artist Collective, Reshmy takes care of all things brand and design as well as Human Resources. She is also a part of the content team and is currently developing a series she is terribly excited about.
